	Steve The loose the diamond you sourced for me arrived yesterday, 8 days from securing to taking delivery. Who could complain! To my untrained eye it looks fabulous. I'm having it set by a well respected craftsman who has for many years ran his own workshop/gallery. He couldn't compete on a supply only basis and was genuinely shocked at your competitive prices. 	Hello Steve I'm just writing to thank you for the good advice and quick service and I am happy for you to share this story with your potential customers if you want to use it as a testimonial. My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in Paris and 11 days before departure I rang you up to discuss the possibility of getting a diamond ring. After several phone calls and speedy emails you gave me details of 25 diamonds that matched my requirements and recommended 3 in particular on the basis of cut. I now realise that I hadn't being giving enough emphasis to cut in my previous research focussing more on colour and clarity instead. The cut makes the sparkle and that afterall is what a diamond is about. Even though my chosen diamond was in Tel Aviv and there were 2 imminent public holidays in Israel which only left about a week you managed to secure the diamond, have it set the day it arrived and send it the next day so it got to me in good time. On the morning of our anniversary I told my wife I'd got her a very small gift and surprised her with the ring. She was delighted and thrilled, and I am pleased to know it is well cut with the result that it sparkles wonderfully. I have to confess it was a rather nervous leap of faith transferring such a large sum of money to someone I'd only spoken to on the phone a few times but I figured someone who had been trading with the same address and phone number for a number of years (as evidenced by some old dated cached web pages and business directory entries) was likely to be above board. Then when another search turned up an article in the Peterborough press about the DiamondHunt sponsored greyhound darby I found that curiously reassuring. Another time I may have taken up your offer to come to Peterborough for a face to face exchange but there wasn't time so I decided it would almost certainly be OK and went to the bank to make an instant transfer (by chance we use the same bank). I am glad I did as the ring arrived the next morning and as I said above it is a real sparkler. I have since seen diamond rings in shop windows of the same shape and size but with the certificate details showing signicantly lower grading with typical price tags of £3800 compared to the £2338 that I paid. From this I estimated I would have to pay around double the price in the high street to have got a diamond ring with a similar quality stone. Today I took the ring to be valued by a SafeGuard UK valuer who hold occaisional event days for on site valuations in addition to their usual business of accepting items submitted via jewellry shops and traders. SafeGuard are part of the Assay Office and provide the most reliable independent valuations. After a thorough examination and measurement with all the equipment he confirmed the diamond was exactly as described on the certificate, which was a relief, and gave a valuation of £6250 as the retail price of replacement - 2.67 times (or nearly £4000 more) than the price I paid. My own estimate obviously didn't allow enough premium for the extra quality of my diamond compared to shop diamonds I will be recommending you to anyone I know who is looking for diamond jewellry. It's my wife's sister's 25th next year and I suspect I will be putting some business your way! Thanks again. David

My husband, had instructed me to find the pear shaped diamond ring of my choice as a 25th Wedding Anniversary present. Up to now it had always been a trip to Hatton Garden and then a 3 - 4 week wait. 	Steve, They are here - and they are SUPERB !!!! thank you soooo much.....i would be happy to give you a testimonial - My boyfriend proposed in December and we rushed out to the High Street to try and buy a ring. (having already looked several times of course !!!!) We found a beautiful ring in one of the best jewelers and snapped it up. I was delighted, but not for long - within the first month the ring had to go back as it had not been cleaned properly and the channel set diamonds on the side had slipped out of their settings. Obviously I was gutted, and when I noticed more problems with the ring in Feb I took it back again. The ring was so badly made when you looked very closely that they refunded me and we were back to the beginning ! In the meantime I had looked on the internet and spoken to a couple of friends who had bought diamonds abroad, and the value for money looked better. We all believe you get what you pay for, but having seen my other half pay top dollar for a bad quality ring, I was prepared to take a risk - anything would be an improvement ! I did my homework and the thing that made me chose Diamond Hunt initially was their prices - even better than the major retailers in Antwerp, but then when I spoke to Steve, he was brilliant - really understanding and totally on my side ! I felt that he genuinely would choose the best diamond he could for me, and he gave me tones of advice along the way. 	I came back from my holidays a little disappointed as I realised that I was with the girl of my dreams and I had missed a fantastic romantic opportunity to propose, but without a ring I just couldn’t do it. Her birthday was coming up though and I was determined to have a ring for her to open. The problem was I had 2 weeks to melt down her grandma’s jewellery for the ring, source a diamond and then set in! I searched the web for companies where I could buy the diamond. Once I found the diamond I wanted I emailed you for some information and explained to your office that it was urgent (as I am sure most orders are!) but you were on holiday. Within 2 hours of you returning from your holiday you had telephoned me back and secured the diamond that I wanted. The diamond was brought into the country within 5 days and I received it special delivery with 16 hours after it arrived with yourselves. Your frequent updates on the delivery progress and the level of customer service you provided is not only to be matched against the delicacy of purchasing a diamond, for me it went far beyond. 	Dear Hayley and Steve, I want to thank you so much for your help and guidance creating our engagement ring. I apologise for the delay in writing to you, but I wanted to have the ring valued first. The independent valuation house came back with a figure of over ten thousand pounds! needless to say, I was amazed, and stunned, at the news! I can't believe the kind of value you are offering. Throughout the whole process you have been very supportive and genuinely seemed to be looking for the best possible diamond for my money. You obviously found it! If you remember, I initially wanted a different stone, but unfortunately, it had very recently been sold. You told me you would do some investigating, and came back to me within 24 hours with a quote for several beautiful sounding stones. There was only had a fortnight before i was going on holiday, but somehow you managed to source the stone, and have it set, then delivered to my home with two days to spare. Brilliant service! You mentioned to me that people are sometimes concerned about ordering over the internet, especially when the value of the items runs into thousands. I must admit, I can understand those concerns. However, whenever I called I dealt exclusively with steve; not just someone in a large call centre, who can only identify you by a 15 digit code and your shoe size. 	Hi Steve I received the ring on Saturday and you are right it is stunning. I have to say I was apprehensive about buying such a high value item on the internet, particularly without seeing it. After inspecting various rings in High Street Jewellers it was clear that not only were the "4 C's " all important ( I couldn't believe how one diamond could appear so dull compared with another ) but also that your prices were very competitive. All the Jewellers agreed that a GIA certificate was not only desirable but would add value to the ring. On seeing the ring for the first time on Saturday I was more than pleased that I had trusted your judgement in choosing the diamond, it was as good as diamonds I had seen in High Street shops at nearly twice the price. 	Hello Steve and Hayley, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, just been so busy...but thought I'd pass on my thanks, and please feel free to use my comments on your site and to let others know about your company. Firstly, I want to let you know that the ring did its job! I proposed to my girlfriend whilst she was visiting from America. She accepted and we are going to get married next year, as soon as I can get a visa to move to the US. She loved the ring, it was exactly what she wanted, and said it looked much bigger than she expected! Personally, I would like to say the service I received was excellent. I was a little hesitant at buying such an expensive item over the internet, but Steve kept me updated with regular emails concerning the ring, and I always felt like I was being given great service. I had a definite date I needed the ring by, and received it with time to spare. When the ring setting I originally wanted was not currently available, Steve let me know it would not be ready in time, and I was offered an excellent alternative at a very nice price - which let me get the ring for the date I needed. The presentation and packaging of the ring was excellent, all the relevant documents/certificates were included, and the ring-box itself has a cool little light in it when you open the box! It really added to the quality look of the product. And the choice was great, I was really after a marquise diamond, and of the many high-street retailers I visited, only 2/3 had any marquis diamond rings, and none of them were suitable. Your site really allowed me to buy the exact ring I wanted, and the prices let me afford a much bigger/better diamond than I would have got from the high-street. 	Hayley and Steve, "After becoming more confident regarding internet dealings, we book all our own holidays and flights etc now via internet totalling many thousands, I though I would investigate the smoke and mirror world of diamonds as I was intending to pop the question sometime soon. It quickly became a fascinating subject to me and I soon became a fussy customer who knew precisely what he wanted. I had a number of favourite diamond sites saved and I visited them regularly to check availability and price for very specific diamond criteria. After over 6 months of research I had honed it all down to the perfect requirements for the engagement ring I wanted. Eventually this came up on diamond hunt.co.uk and I began dealing with Steve. His service was first class from the beginning, he responded to my email enquiries efficiently and never grew impatient with all of my questions and demands. Now, unbeknown to Steve, I had printed off the cert of the intended purchase and popped along to Hatton Garden in London (near where I work in London). This is the noted and famous London diamond trading area and I wanted to check valuations and what was also on offer in a more traditional retail setting. Well, I was shocked. The service levels I received were poor to start with. I felt like I was just a meal ticket to a profit. I felt like these "dealers" were really keen....to tell me what they felt I wanted to hear! They were not keen to give me prices either, they were constantly probing for my budget (so transparent) which I resisted telling them. I purely wanted a price for a diamond similar to the cert I showed them. This proved difficult to get to and made me very nervous about buying from these people (I went to numerous shops on various visits each lunch time). They were also intend on knocking copy. By this I mean that they tried to sell me diamonds with different criteria to the one I was asking for. "No, colour is far more important than polish and symmetry, trade up to a better colour, they are all round brilliant after all"! What hogwash. In this case we had to look under a 10x glass to even notice the difference in colour. They did not know the level of knowledge I had attained and meanwhile, all around inexperienced innocent guys were being suckered in to a purchase. I hate to sound smug but... Needless to say I had found a great deal with Steve and was now convinced about the great value I could get. So, we agreed the details and I was a little nervous about the settings available. But Steve agreed that if I was not happy with the setting I could change it. When the ring arrived (yes in a great illuminated box) the ring had an amazing sparkle and I was delighted with this diamond...go for 4 or more stars if you can, with perfect dimensions, it shows. However, I did not like the setting at all (told you I was fussy). Steve offered to send me a range to choose from but what I wanted was to select and purchase the precise setting that I had seen on my visits to Hatton Garden (some good did come out of it). So I went and bought the setting myself from a specialist supplier to the trade and sent this back to Steve with the original diamond ring. He then set the diamond in this setting and returned it to me with a refund of the original 18ct gold setting. It all worked perfectly, I had both the diamond and ring setting I wanted, and all managed perfectly by Steve. One small gripe, the delivery method did not seek my personal signature and reception at work signed both times. It could have gone wrong in a bigger organisation with a big post room etc but I had primed reception to look out for the package and we are a small office. Never the less, I would most certainly recommend this company" Stephen, London.
	Hayley and Steve, Reading some of the other reports, we too were a little apprehensive about paying money forward without having something immediately in return and to someone or some company that you know little about. I had spoken to Steve on 3 previous occasions, over a period of approaching 18 months, getting information on what to look for in a diamond. My wife will tell you I am a very fussy person, who likes things absolutely right. I was seeking a near flawless diamond, with a V V S rating, with a colour D or E and the size had to be over a carat and marquis in shape. Having looked at several stones in local shops and NEC dealers etc, nothing was particularly forthcoming and the prices quoted were really steep compared to Steve & Hayley’s. I kept visiting Steve’s website and comparing what was on offer. Prices being very favourable, I did notice some slight variations over this period for the same stone, but this was due to dollar fluctuations as the purchase is done in dollars. I eventually found what I was looking for, a 1.19 carat stone, VVS2 rating, dimensions 10.5mm long, just under 6 mm wide and depth approaching 3.5 mm. Any less than this and I thought it too thin, a mere slither. Also, Steve’s website provides a sparkle rating, the one I chose had a 4 star rating and believe me, this is the first 4 star I had seen over the 18 month period. I said to my wife, that I think I had found the one for us and what did she think. We decided we would go for it and arranged the bank transfer, e mailed Steve etc and waited. In the meantime we went on holiday and wondered how the order was progressing and joked that probably that was the last time we will ever see that money again and probably end up with nothing. Checked the e mails when I got back and was happy to see Steve had tried to contact us while we were away, to arrange delivery! (this being only 2 weeks after the money was transferred, which I thought was excellent). Agreed delivery address and 2 days later the ring was delivered to my wife’s workplace. She rang me and said the package had arrived but said she would open it later. I told her to forget later and open it! She rang back a little later and I could tell she was over the moon. When she got it home, the ring was in a very nice presentation box with a built in light (wow, nice touch. I’d forgotten about the light after reading other comments about it previous). The stone was beautiful, together with it’s GIA certificate. We are very pleased with our purchase and will not hesitate to use Steve & Hayley again, should we need any more diamonds in the future. Also, 2 people at Diane’s workplace have asked me for the website address, since we have been their guinea pigs, they now have no fear in ordering for themselves. 	Hayley and Steve, We began by looking around the high street stores but quickly realised that to be assured of quality and hence value, we wanted a GIA certificated diamond; however, the high street stores didn't have a great choice of certificated stones and what they had was very expensive. They were only too keen to push the non-certificated diamonds on which they only needed to provide a price without any real justification other than an in-store valuation certificate. We found that the stores would tell us what they thought we wanted to hear, whilst being unable or reluctant to provide any information of real substance. We began to look at web sites and ran into similar problems until we came across DiamondHunt. The website provides excellent information and full on-line certification details for each diamond, including the all important 'cut' grading. Steve was able to explain each aspect of the GIA certificate and handled everything very professionally. We were reasonably confident about the diamond if a little unsure about the setting; however, Steve was able to answer all our queries and on arrival we were both delighted with the colour, clarity and fire of the diamond as well as the setting. 	Hi, Just a quick note about the loose diamond I recently purchased and the service provided by Hayley and Steve. I was a first time buyer. I was nervous about committing to spending a large sum of money via the internet with people I did not know. The friendly dialogue, which included a step by step guide to how the purchase would proceed, was backed up by excellent service. I received the diamond that I expected. It was delivered within the time scales that I was given. It was received with all the expected documentation and there were no hidden/extra costs. The stone looks superb. 	Steve & Hayley, I had promised to buy a diamond for my wife 12 years ago when we first met so, by the time it came to actually make the purchase, you can imagine how significant the whole event had become. I was initially very apprehensive and sceptical about using an Internet site to make a purchase of such significance (in both monetary and sentimental terms). After a long search we found the stone of my wife's dreams on the Diamond Hunt website. I can't tell you how much I love it (more than William definitely, but don't tell him that)- it seems to sparke from the depths of my finger, and I am conducting experiments to see where it does shine... under the duvet with just a chink of light, when we're bathing the kids etc etc. It's now great being left-handed, as I can look at it when I type at work, when I iron, and especially when I sign a card slip at the shops- I just want to say 'Have you seen how sparkly my ring is?' The setting is just 100% what I wanted- I'm 6'1'' with red hair, and the setting is plain with no frills, claws or any of the other things that wouldn't suit my unique personality!! When you have two children under 4, spending £4k on a diamond seems extravagant, but I now have something just for me. I never get excited about anything, but when your e-mail came with the tracking number and an ETA, I have to admit I was jumping up and down with excitement... my only complaint is that I had told myself that I would get the ring in 3 weeks, so when it came my nails were a mess, and my sister had to come to the rescue with a DIY manicure!! One good thing about having two daughters is that I will now need another 'significant' piece of jewellery so that they can each have a diamond when I am long gone... so I think earrings next...then another ring etc etc- I now think I may become a 'diamond junkie'- so when we are not paying nursery fees you will hear from us again. 	Dear Hayley, I would like to take this opportunity of writing a short note to thank you for all your help and advice when I purchased my fiancée’s diamond engagement ring. Having spent many weeks looking at stones and settings at various shops throughout the South West, I had an understanding of the Colour, Cut, Clarity and Carat weight I ideally wanted. Discussing my requirements with the ‘High Street’ shops was a mixed experience. Some were very helpful and others were not. Having a good budget for the ring, I was after something very special. Indeed one shop in particular obtained three or four stones for me to look at and I was at the point of placing the order. This one shop told me the price for the ring of my choice would be £12,500 – apparently a good deal as it would be sold to order.
